For the person holding build, sign-off and live site control. You write a sequence production and Event Control can run.
What you will be able to do
- Record the sequence in force, location by location, with who holds each one.
- Walk a completion certificate against the ground and say whether the signed location still exists.
- Name the information that is enough to hold a location, and the information that is not.
- Choose between finishing a sign-off, opening a different signed location or delaying last admission, without opening an unsigned one.
- Hand a structure, a power supply or a vehicle movement from build into show with both names on the page.
What the chapters cover
- The sequence now in force, and competing sequences
- A sign-off that is good for use
- Handing build into show with no unsigned gap
- Live site control after doors
- Withdrawing a location that was opened
- When a contractor or production will not accept
Thirteen chapters follow the job in order, with thirteen quick-reference cards you may copy for use at your own event. Worked examples are composite illustrations, not accounts of real events.
Tactical titles are for the person coordinating several posts or departments once the plan has to change on the day. OTAS Live publishes 30 handbooks across ten areas of event work, each at Operational, Tactical and Strategic level.

Three levels in Site, Structures and Infrastructure
Each area of event work is covered at Operational, Tactical and Strategic level, so the series follows the job from the post on the ground to the decisions around it.
- Operational 6.1 Working the Site Safely
- Tactical 6.2 Build, Sign-Off and Live Site Control (this book)
